Any fresh ideas on how I can get more pumped to teach Writing again?

Thanks!

Recharge Your Writing
by: Weatherly

Have a poetry slam! Poetry is full of self expression and light on rules.

Do watercolor or another art form to go with the poems.

Try Haiku, Acrostic, Biopoems, or Freestyle.....

Have a celebration about this different kind of writing!

Fiction Writing!
by: Mrs. Mikesell

I found myself really in a slump before winter break so I started teaching fictional writing.

We have spent so much time on 'small moments' and non-fiction that I thought it would be fun to just go wild.

We wrote stories about meeting Frosty the Snowman and about owning a candy store.

They turned out great and let the kids really apply all the crafts that they have been working on all year!

Mrs. Mikesell :)
