End of the Day comments for the Teacher to Sub
by: Anonymous

If you have subbed for atleast a year, you have seen or experience alot of behaviors that you know you wouldn't want in your own classroom, or shouldn't occur in the first place. Make an excel spread sheet that has atleast 2 columns. Column 1 has their names ( I prefer to put them down by their seating groups/rows.) Column 2 will be the initials of behaviors that occur. ex:
Sally TO*** (talking out)
Sam OS** (out of seat)
At the end of the page is a key to the abbreviations you have listed to each behavior.
Be sure to include atleast 3-5 students that did a particularly good job.
Make a list in chronological class period as to what was accomplished, what wasn't, who had trouble, didn't have time for, or any problems you had executing the lesson. Have students put all written paperwork in ABC order. Place all papers, complete or not, in a colored folder made from construction paper. Save for teacher.Leave your phone number email address for teacher if comment/questions are needed. Leave room clean. Lay out next day's morning work if possible.
