Para
by: Anonymous

My sister was a Paraprofessional for a few years. She said that they shortened it to "Para." I would ask them if they like being called something else or if they like being called "Paraprofessional." In the school that I work in, a lot of the Paraprofessionals are called "reading teachers," because they help the kids with reading. I would just ask them if they like to be called something else and if they tell you what they like to be called try to use that.
