The Day The Sub Came

by Carol Gilbert
(Palo Alto, CA )

A Classroom Reading

A Classroom Reading

I subbed for over 7 years and probably experienced just about everything that could happen. As a result of that experience, I finally wrote The Day The Sub Came.

It was written for 8-11 year olds; however, I found that adults and especially anyone who has ever subbed, found it a humorous and helpful read.

Quite honestly, I would love to see it be required reading for every elementary teacher around. Most of them have no idea of what their class is like in their absence.

Hope you find it helpful and fun.
