Teach Like a Champion

Do you have Teach Like a Champion questions? I think we all have questions when it comes to setting up our classrooms, procedures and routines!

I looked around my classroom and realized that my students were not having as much time on task as I would like.

I kept thinking, “How can I streamline these routines?”

Then I came across a book called Teach Like a Champion. I had heard of it before but didn’t really know what it was about.

I ordered it – and read most of it the day it arrived! I was in love with the concepts presented in the book. Lots of easy, systematic routines to help boost learning.

Perfect!

I'm also noticing that with practice and repetition we are having many less behavior distractions during the independent work times in our day than previously.

One of my favorite strategies is "No Opt Out" where all students will know the answers to questions through targeted questioning skills and sweeping back to students who didn't know the answer. Using this technique - all students are accoutable for their learning... not just the kids who always know the answers.

If you are looking for another topic, please visit the question and answer page for all the topics.Hopefully you will get them answered by other visitors to this site as well as myself.

You are free to post as many questions as you like.

To give you a better chance of getting your question answered, please respond to the questions of other posters as well. Please try to answer at least two questions for each question you post. It's all about helping one another and making our job easier!
