Reading Series Organization

by Krystal
(Alabama)

I am a first year teacher and a late hire at that.

I "inherited" the organizational system the previous teacher had used.

The previous teacher organized things was to make one file folder for each story, and then in the filing cabinet drawer use tall colored dividers to separate the units. In each story's file there are the picture/sequence story cards, all transparencies (grammar), vocab. word cards and one of each of the leveled readers.

This has not been a "curse" to me, but I must admit I don't think I would have arranged it that way.

I have materials all over the place.
