Picking seats

by Melissa Fangman
(Canyon, Texas, USA)

This is my 2nd year to do Daily 5 in kindergarten and we love it.

My kids choose where they want to go for each round which seems to work well.

However it takes a few extra minutes doing it this way.

Do you let your kids pick where they want to go or are all kids doing word work at the same time and all kids are doing writing at the same time, etc.

If they are, do you have several different activities for them to choose from within the word work area or within the writing area?
