Kids pick seats
by: Mrs. Mikesell

I do allow my kids to pick their seats.

This is what happens.

First, I tell my 4-5 kids I need to see for Guided Reading to go to the table.

Then, I release 3-4 kids at a time to get their spots.

By the time I let the last few kids go, I'm walking to the table and in Guided Reading mode.

I have found that if I "stick around" and make sure it is going fast - it goes slower.

I just let them go and get my job done so they aren't getting attention for wandering around...

Mrs. Mikesell :)
