Music Literacy Center

The Music Literacy Center is very popular in my room. The children are always dancing and singing at it. I took many of my favorite CD's and put them in this station.

My students can listen to the tunes, write, draw, and boogie!

This is great for kids who enjoy tunes, need to get their wiggles out, have fun singing, and need skill reinforcement. The children can enjoy and learn from great artists without you having to be there.

My favorite CD's for this station are from Jack Hartmann, Dr. Jean, and Fun Phonics Factory.

I am a huge advocate for using singing in schools. For more information on why this helps learning, read my article What's with all the singing, anyways?
