Mobile Listening Library

I wanted a listening center for my kindergarten students, but I ran out of tables this year! I decided to move my big books from the mobile bookshelf (that the kids rarely used last year)and make it my listening center.
I needed to make some adjustments--the bags for the books on CD/tape were too long, so I folded and stapled them to make them smaller.
After a little muscle, I made clothes-line with cord and thumb tacks to hand the book bags on. I bought the adhesive hooks and they work well. I now have the challenge of teaching them how to wind up the headphones so cords don't get tangled!
I'm really looking forward to having a listening center that is compact, yet easily accessible. I have added an empty hanging book bag to fill with paper, pencils, and activities to be done while in the center. There are also white boards to lean on if they have to write.
The center will be near the carpet area-the carpet is being cleaned now, hence not in the photo! Students will have the choice to relax on our pillows if it's a story book or have space to move around if following directions to a dance/movement CD. Hopefully I will have good results to report in a few weeks!
