Lunch Count and Attendance

by Sarah

Lunch Count System

Lunch Count System

In looking for a quick and easy method for taking lunch count and attendance, I came up with this idea.

The students are responsible for coming in the room each morning and marking their lunch very first thing.

They simply move their fish to their lunch choice (each hook is labeled 'hot' and 'cold') and my student for the week is in charge of reporting the count to me on a sticky note.

If a student has forgotten to move their fish, it is the secretary's responsibility to remind them to do so.

The fish are just foam shapes with magnets attached to the back.

Makes it a very simple task when the mornings seem so crazy!
