How to implement the Daily 5 in Math?

Hi!

Our school is implementing the Daily 5 this school year.

I was wondering how the Daily 5 ties into Math or Science.

Thanks!

The Daily Five in Reading and Writing
by: Anonymous

The Daily Five is not a program, but a management system and I feel that it is to be used in the best way that fits the needs of your students. I love the anchor charts and the 5 components that go along with the Daily Five, but as a 2-way kindergarten dual language teacher, I have to implement the components within my literacy tubs and use the lessons to teach about stamina, the 3 ways to read, wwhat good readers do, etc, as my large group teachable moments. I think the Daily Five works very well in conjunction with what you already have in place, you just have to adapt it to your working Readers Workshop. In regards to implementing it in math, which I haven't thought about before now, simply use the same "management" pieces but during your math workshop. Good luck to you!
