Guided Group
by: Jan

I just read the book and that was one of my questions. Maybe make one of the 5 only 15 minutes, for instance the Read to Self ?

guided reading
by: Joyce Raney

I divide my students into 4 groups and see all of them for 15-20 minutes each day. The 3 groups that aren't meeting with me are working independently; they only miss one of the stations while I'm teaching the guided reading group.

The short answer... yes, sometimes!
by: Mrs. Mikesell

I try not to pick the same kids during the same time each time.

For example, if group A misses "Read to Self" on Monday - I'd have them come to me during "Word Work" on Wednesday.

I do my best to stir it up so they aren't missing the same thing all the time.

Mrs. Mikesell :)
