Glove Writing Center

Fill a basket with gloves of all kinds from various activities and occupations.

Suggestions are latex(surgical), kitchen, mittens, welding, firemen, gardening, ski, etc..

Students are allowed to try on the gloves in order to help them imagine what kind of activity they would be doing and how they would feel.

They may wear one glove on their non-writing hand while they then write a story and draw a picture.

I currently use this with First Grade and it's quite popular.
