Comic Book Center

by Maureen
(New York)

With so many of the kids today reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney, I am finding that most of the children (especially the boys) really enjoy creating comic strips.

I have the children take a sentence strip and fold it into 8 equal sections.

Each section represents a frame of the comic.

They can create a character and add dialog via talking bubbles.

It's creative and fun.
