Look, Think, and Write
Literacy Center

The Look, Think, and Write Literacy Center is easy to set up, and really fun to work in!

This activity can be used in any grade, all you need to do is modify the expectations.

What I do is hang a picture up and have the children simply take a peek at it, ponder about it and document about it.

They love to see goofy pictures, picture of people from school, pictures from field trips and visitors, and pictures of themselves.

This is also a fun way to get children who are "shy" about writing to write because their name isn't on it, and no one really knows who wrote what.

I provide the kids with a CVC Word Bank for support.

To start this center all you need is a picture, paper and crayons. It is so simple, yet so effective! My kids LOVE it.
