Welcome to the Third Issue of
Great Elementary Teacher Resources
Well, it's summer. I don't know about you, but I think that this when I'm most "on my game" because I have time to really sit and think about what happened last year and what I'd like to have happen next year.
I really worked on what teaching means to me, and built my classroom to reflect my goals.
My students and I worked hard coming together as a book loving, fun having, and smile wearing family. The results were a class of children who had a blast, read a lot and loved coming to school.
This year has been my best success in all of my years of teaching. I'm glad I have gotten to share it with you.
Another one of my favorite things that happened were the times that Mr. Andy and Mr. Jesse were able to come to my classroom to read. These two guys read to schools in my area.
Ok, well, maybe not just read... they story tell, play guitar and totally captivate children. My students adore them because they are wild.
I wish that every school had a Mr. Andy and Mr. Jesse to come rock and read to kids. If you know someone who likes to read, bring them in, you never know what impact it might have.
Sorry the picture is so terrible, but you get the idea.
