Don't Let the Pigeon
Drive the Bus!

Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! is a fun, easy to read, engaging book by Mo Willems.

The pigeon is sassy, goofy, tricky and down-right hilarious. All the pigeon wants it to take a turn driving the bus, but he keeps being told "No!".

The illustrations are simplistic enough for the children to try to replicate.

The text is funny yet full of sight words, so even beginning readers can enjoy it.

My students have fallen for the pigeon. They love to read it during centers and have even begun to partner read the book on their own.

Pigeon is a terrific character that has built into a series of exciting, humorous books perfect for read alouds!
